RESTYLANE® to Restore Volume and Fullness to the Skin

What is RESTYLANE®?
Restylane is a dermal filler that restores volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate facial wrinkles and folds. It is made of non-animal-based hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance that already exists in our bodies and provides fullness and volume to our skin. We lose hyaluronic acid as we age.

Where Can I Have RESTYLANE Injections?
Restylane can be used to correct a variety of wrinkles. The most common treatment areas are the nasolabial folds (from the nose to the mouth) and the glabellar area (between eyebrows).

How Long Will the RESTYLANE Treatments Last?
Studies have shown that Restylane effects generally last an average of about 6 months. Treatments are usually scheduled twice a year.

Is RESTYLANE Safe?
Yes. Restylane has been used since 1996 worldwide – over 3 million treatments! There is limited risk of animal-based disease transmission or allergic reaction. But unlike rooster-derived hyaluronic acid-based or bovine-derived collagen products, Restylane is free of animal proteins, so the risk is low. Restylane is biodegradable and fully biocompatible with human hyaluronic acid. Restylane should only be administered in a medical setting with licensed medical staff on site.

What Should I Expect with a RESTYLANE Treatment?
Restylane is injected directly into the skin in tiny amounts using a very small needle. The procedure does produce a moderate amount of pain. We recommend application of a topical anesthetic 45 minutes to one hour prior to injections to minimize your discomfort. After your treatment, you might have some redness or mild swelling. This will normally last less than 7 days. You will see some desired results immediately and these results will
continue to improve over the next several days as the hyaluronic acid binds with water.
