SPECTRAPULSE INTENSE PULSE (IPL) PhotoFacial
to Treat Melasma, Rosacea, Sun Damage, Brown or Age Spots,
Acne Scars and Fine Lines.
What is SPECTRAPULSE INTENSE PULSE LIGHT?
SpectraPulse Intense Pulse Light, often referred to as a PhotoFacial,
is a non-invasive and non-ablative rejuvenation of your skin using
the remarkable technology of Intense Pulse Light. PhotoFacial
technology can correct or erase the signs of photoaging, Rosacea,
sun damage, brown or age spots, and to decrease the appearance of
mild acne scars and fine lines around the mouth and eyes.
How Does It Work?
After a clear gel is applied to the area, we gently apply the
SpectraPulse hand piece to your skin. The IPL can resolve pigment
problems (sun spots, age spots), freckles, redness (including small
spider veins), sun damage, fine lines and wrinkles, and Rosacea. The
light from the SpectraPulse stimulates collagen growth, improves
skin texture, increases skin smoothness, rids you of brown spots,
small spider veins, redness and decreases pore size.
How Many Treatments Are Usually Required?
On average, we recommend between 3 and 5 treatment sessions, 3 weeks
apart, for most problems, but the number of sessions is highly
variable depending on your condition(s). You will notice gradual,
natural looking improvement.
Generally, the IPL treatments work as follows: 1st and 2nd
treatments help to remove redness (small vascular areas) and brown
spots. The 3rd and 4th treatments help remodel collagen. And the 5th
treatment targets the deep dermal collagen. In other words, the IPL
PhotoFacial removes damage from the top layer down.
As with all of our treatments, we will make a personalized
recommendation for YOU during your complementary consultation.
What Should I Expect After My SPECTRAPULSE IPL TREATMENT?
You will most likely have a mild sunburned feeling and appearance
after your treatment. We will apply a physician-grade sun block to
protect your skin before your leave. We will also provide you with a
complementary makeover if you desire. You will notice that your
spider veins, redness and/or brown spots are more visible at first.
These changes last for a few days, then fade. Brown spots may rise
to your skin’s surface, crust over or scab, then flake off.
YOU MUST USE PHYSICIAN-GRADE SUN BLOCK PRIOR TO AND AFTER YOUR IPL
TREATMENTS. We carry these products for your convenience.
Are SPECTRAPULSE IPL TREATMENTS Used in Conjunction with Other
Treatments?
As with all of our treatments, you can obtain the best results when
you combine IPL treatments with other treatments such as Botox,
Lightwave (LED) Therapy, Microdermabrasion, Restylane®, and Chemical
Peels. Based on your needs, we will make our recommendations for
YOU!
